PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a decrease in calculation accuracy and an increase in the calculation period of time while forming an ultrasonic image of a high resolution using a proper sonic speed for each region in a subject.SOLUTION: This ultrasonic diagnosing apparatus includes a transceiving section, a receipt controlling means, an image forming means for forming an image signal based on a sound ray signal, a focus deciding means, and a sonic value correcting means. In this case, the transceiving section feeds a driving signal to an ultrasonic transducer, and processes a received signal which is output from the ultrasonic transducer. The receipt controlling means forms a sound ray signal by processing a focus by adjusting the phase of the received signal according to a plurality of delay amounts which are set based on sonic values in the subject. The focus deciding means decides the degree of beam convergence in focus processing regarding a plurality of first regions within an ultrasonic image.
