An upper thread cutting device is provided in a front of an upper tong member, and a lower thread cutting device is provided in a lower front of a sewing table. Using a tong type presser foot, a leader and a rope are picked up from both upper and lower sides and moved forward to remove friction from a needle plate. In addition, by cutting the residue of upper thread and the lower thread to some extent, the loosening of the binding is prevented.
