PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composite having excellent wear resistance and high rupture energy compared to conventional resin composites.SOLUTION: This resin composite is produced using 40-400 pts.mass of inorganic particles surface-treated with a surface-treating agent having an aromatic group at the terminal to 100 pts.mass of a resin, and has the average embedding rate shown by formula 1 of 55% or greater. The production method and a dental material using the resin composite are also provided. Formula 1: average embedding rate (%)=100×{EP/(EP+V)}, where EP denotes a number of inorganic particles {pieces/(10 &mum×10 &mum)} in an area of 10 &mum square exposed in a ground surface and V denotes a number of voids {pieces/(10 &mum×10 &mum)} formed by falling of the inorganic particles in an area of 10 &mum square where the EP value is counted, when the ground surface of a test specimen of the resin composite is SEM observed.
