To provide a walking support device for supporting walking while straightening the trunk and swinging the arms, which is capable of appropriately preventing a user from overturning backward without providing an extension part extending behind rear wheels.SOLUTION: A walking support device includes: a frame； a right and left pair of handles (20R) that move in a front-back direction with respect to the frame； a right and left pair of handle guiding means (30R) for guiding the respective handles in a movable range with respect to the swinging of the arms； a plurality of wheels including driving wheels； travelling driving means for driving the driving wheels； a battery； handle state detection means； and control means. At least one of the plurality of wheels is provided to the rear end of the frame, and includes overturning sign detection means for detecting a sign of a user's overturning backward, and an overturning prevention mechanism for preventing the user from overturning backward.
