PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and easily remove a gladius without opening a squid mantle.SOLUTION: A device for removing a gladius comprises a cylindrical body 12 to be inserted into a squid mantle 1 and a motor 14 for rotating the cylindrical body 12. A folding part 23 having a predetermined length in the axial direction and two or more holding members 21 having a platy hooking unit 24 whose tip is curved in the rotational direction are installed on the peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 12, wherein the length of each holding member 21 in the axial direction is equal to or less than half the length of the cylindrical body and each holding member 21 is arranged at a position having a circumferential angle different from that of the adjacent holding member 21 in the axial direction.
