A front-end section (26a) of the front-end region (26) is joined to an elastic region of the torso cover (1). A front-end border section (26b) of the front-end region (26) is not joined to said elastic region. A section of the absorbent chassis (2) adjacent to the front-end border section (26b) on the crotch-region (4) side is joined to a non-elastic region formed nearer the crotch region (4) than the elastic region is. An absorbent body contained in the absorbent chassis (2) extends at least from the crotch region (4) to the front-end border section (26b).
