PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of obtaining a magnetic resonance image of high quality by a reduced member of loop coils regardless of the imaging region of a subject.SOLUTION: A coil group 3 for receiving the magnetic resonance image is built in a cradle support plate. The coil group 3 has six loop coils 31-36 arranged so as to surround a predetermined point Pc and one circular loop coil 37. Six loop coils 31-36 and one circular loop coil 37 are provided within the substantially same plane (ZX plane).
