An orthopedic device for fixating bone parts includesa set of one or more bone fixation pins for engaging a bone piece, anelongated fixator body having an internally threaded bore extendinglongitudinally therethrough, a pair of opposed longitudinally extend-ing slots in the fixator body, and a pin-holder received within thefixator body and configured to removably hold the set of one or morebone fixation pins. The pin-holder is longitudinally movable withinthe fixator body for controlling the position of the set of bone fixationpins within the fixator body. The fixator body also can be configuredto removably hold a second set of one or more bone fixation pins at alocation fixed along the fixator body.
