The manifold base (56) includes a plenum (60) formed inside the base (56) during molding of the base (56) and a connector component (40) formed during molding of the base (56) for releasably securing the base (56) to the compression device (12). The plenum (60) fluidly connects the air 1o compressor (52) to the valve mechanism (54).
