PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzymatic substance that improves intestinal environment for absorbing enzymes having enzymatic activity.SOLUTION: The substance for improving human intestinal environment comprises an enzyme-containing substance that comprises an enzyme of plant origin, and the enzyme in the enzyme-containing substance retains the enzymatic activity. Since the substance can supply enzymes that retain the enzymatic activity to the digestive tract, after uptake by a human, the substance can improve and maintain the sound status of the intestinal bacterial flora (such as the balance of intestinal bacteria), and enables improving and maintaining of the sound status of the intestinal environment of a living organism.
