The solar energy jellyfish device includes a frame, a solar energy panel, a propelling element, a driving portion, a central processor, several angle detectors, and a rechargeable battery. This frame includes an umbrella-shaped portion and a soft cap. The solar energy panel is mounted on the outer surface of the umbrella-shaped portion so as to absorb sunlight and to convert it into electricity. The electricity can be stored in the rechargeable battery. This central processor can control the driving portion to force the propelling element moving. Therefore, this invention can simulate the special swimming movement of a real jellyfish. It can increase the variety of aquarium.
