PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen collecting tool suitably used in an immunochromatographic measurement kit to detect fungus and Trichophytons existing in a stratum corneum.SOLUTION: A swab for collecting skin keratin in a stratum corneum consists of a shank and a cotton ball impregnated with purified water. Though a material for the shank of the swab is not limited in particular, a water resistant material is preferable since the cotton ball is impregnated with purified water. The cotton ball of the swab is an aggregate of cotton fibers, and is arranged at one end or each end of the shank.
