PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray Talbot imaging apparatus capable of making a subject and a first grating closer to each other even when the subject is in a state such as being held by a holding tool.SOLUTION: An X-ray Talbot imaging apparatus 1* comprises: a plurality of gratings including phase gratings 14, 15 a radiation generator for irradiation of radiation and a radiation detector 16 for capturing a moire image. The imaging apparatus also includes: a phase grating protective member 14A located between the phase grating 14 and a subject H and protecting the phase grating 14 and a subject holding member 20 for holding the subject H in a position upstream or downstream of the phase grating 14 in the direction of an irradiation direction.
