PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish an effective use of a substance found by such a screening method for a substance having an effect on a biochemical reaction in which the cell growth factor is concerned, as applies thereto a technique enabling to evaluate quickly, efficiently, and accurately a substance having an effect on a biochemical reaction in which the cell growth factor is concerned.SOLUTION: A cell growth factor inhibitor is characterized by including as an effective component at least one kind of phytic acid, a pecan nut extract, a fucus extract, and a copolymer of 2-methacryloyloxy ethyl phosphorylcholine and 2-hydroxy-3-methacryloyloxy propyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (excluding FGF-1 inhibitor and FGF-2 inhibitor each using only phytic acid as an effective component).【課題】細胞増殖因子の関与する生化学的反応に効果を及ぼす物質を、迅速、効率的、かつ、的確に評価できる手法を応用した、細胞増殖因子の関与する生化学的反応に効果を及ぼす物質のスクリーニング方法により見出された物質の有効な用途を確立すること。【解決手段】フィチン酸、ピーカンナッツ抽出液、ヒバマタ抽出液および２－メタクリロイルオキシエチルホスホリルコリンと２－ヒドロキシ－３－メタクリロイルオキシプロピルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリドの共重合体のうち少なくとも１種を有効成分とすることを特徴とする細胞増殖因子阻害剤（ただし、フィチン酸のみを有効成分とする、ＦＧＦ－１阻害剤およびＦＧＦ－２阻害剤を除く）。【選択図】なし
