PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that accurate measurement of a layer-thickness is not achieved by measuring the thickness from the retina in a perpendicular direction when the photographed retinal layer is tilted in an image since an OCT (optical coherence tomography) image has a difference in resolution between the vertical direction and the horizontal direction while the layer-thickness is measured by calculating the measurement direction that reflects a difference in the resolution for quantitatively measuring the retinal layer thickness with large bending by using the OCT image with the resolution having the difference between the vertical direction and the horizontal direction.SOLUTION: An image processor includes: a retinal layer detecting means for specifying boundaries between the retinal layers from a tomography image of the retina a perpendicular direction calculating means for calculating the perpendicular direction, that reflects the resolution ratio between the vertical direction and the horizontal direction, to the boundary between the layers in the detected boundary between the retinal layers a layer-thickness measuring means for measuring the retinal layer thickness in the perpendicular direction which has been calculated and a map creating means for creating a map of the layer-thickness by using the measured retinal layer thickness.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 湾曲の大きな網膜の層厚を、縦横で解像度の異なるOCT画像を用いて定量的に計測するために、解像度の差を反映させた計測方向を算出して層厚の計測を行う。しかしOCT画像は縦方向と横方向で解像度が異なるために、撮影された網膜層が画像内で傾いている場合には、網膜から垂直方向に計測したのでは正確な層厚の計測とはならないという課題があった。【解決手段】 網膜断層画像から網膜層境界を特定する網膜層検出手段と、前記検出した網膜層境界において、縦横の解像度比を反映した層境界との垂直方向を演算する垂直方向演算手段と、前期演算した垂直方向に網膜層厚を計測する層厚計測手段と、前期計測した網膜層厚を用いて層厚マップを作成するマップ作成手段を有することを特徴とする画像処理装置。【選択図】 図1
