PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse prevention device for a wheelchair, a device that can mitigate body load on a caregiver and that also can reduce unrest of a care receiving person.SOLUTION: The reverse prevention device 1 for a wheelchair is for preventing a wheelchair 2 from falling by the rear wheel tire 3 of the wheelchair 2 rolling along stairs 4 when the wheelchair 2 is pulled up backward along the stairs 4. The device includes: a reverse prevention arm 7 that is freely rotatably installed on the frame 5 of the wheelchair 2 through a first bracket 6, that extends in a manner in contact with the rear wheel tire 3 rearward in the reverse direction of the rear wheel tire 3, relative to the line L1 connecting the installation support shaft 7a and the shaft center 3a of the rear wheel tire 3, and that has the tip end in contact with the rear wheel tire 3； and an arm energization part 8 that presses the reverse prevention arm 7 by holding in the reverse prevention position of the rear wheel tire 3 when the wheelchair 2 is pulled up along the stairs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】介護者の身体への負担を軽減できると共に被介護者の不安感を軽減できる車椅子用逆進防止装置を提供する。【解決手段】車椅子２を後ろ向きに階段４に沿って引き上げる際、車椅子２の後輪タイヤ３が階段４に沿って転動して車椅子２が落下するのを防止するための車椅子用逆進防止装置１であって、車椅子２のフレーム５に第１ブラケット６を介して回動自在に設けられその支持軸７ａと後輪タイヤ３の軸心３ａを結ぶ線Ｌ１に対して後輪タイヤ３の逆進方向後方の後輪タイヤ３に接するように延びると共に先端が後輪タイヤ３と接する逆進防止アーム７と、車椅子２の階段引き上げ時に逆進防止アーム７を後輪タイヤ３の逆進防止位置に保持して押し付けるアーム付勢部８とを備えたものである。【選択図】図１
