Provided is a herbicidal composition which exhibits high herbicidal effect on undesired plants independently of meteorological conditions, soil conditions, the kind of crops, the timing of application and so on, while keeping the safety to useful plants. A herbicidal composition which contains both (1) 1-(1-ethyl-4-(3-(2-methoxyethoxy)-2-methyl-4-(methyl- sulfonyl)benzoyl)-1H-pyrazol-5-yloxy)ethyl methyl carbonate or a salt thereof and (2) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of fenchlorazole-ethyl, isoxadifen-ethyl, mefenpyr-diethyl, cloquintocet-mexyl and cyprosulfamide.Se proporciona una composicíón herbicida que tiene un alto efecto herbicida en plantas indeseadas independientemente de las condiciones meteorológicas, condiciones de la tierra, el tipo de cultivos, el tiempo de aplicación, etc., mientras se mantiene la seguridad para plantas útiles； una composición herbicida que contiene (1) 1-(1-etil-4-(3-(2-metoxietoxi)-2-metil-4-(metilsulfon il)benzoil)-1H-pirazol-5-iloxi)etil metil carbonato o su sal y (2) por lo menos un compuesto seleccionado del grupo que consiste en fenclorazol-etilo, isoxadifen-etilo, mefenpir- dietilo, cloquintocet-mexilo y ciprosulfamida.
