PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biocompatible material with such excellent biocompatibility as reduced interaction with biological components such as protein and hemocytes, for developing a state-of-the-art medical instrument or artificial organ for the next generation.
SOLUTION: The surface of the base material is covered with a resin obtained by polymerizing at least one kind of polymerizable monomer selected from a group comprising urea ethyl (meta) acrylate expressed by the formula (I) and glucosyl urea ethyl (meta) acrylate expressed by the formula (II).
