PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further increase holding power for a food material in a working device for a food material that rotates the food material to work on it with a cutting blade.SOLUTION: There is provided a working device for a food material which has first and second holding parts 341 and 351 opposed to each other in a prescribed rotation axis line L1, rotates a food material 8 whose both ends are held by the first and second holding parts 341 and 351 around the rotation axis line L1, and causes a cutting blade 7 to work on the food material 8 to form the food material 8 into a prescribed rotary shape. Each of the first and second holding parts 341 and 351 has a base shaft part 36 that extends along the rotation axis line L1 and two piercing pieces 37 that protrude from the tip surface 361 of the base shaft part 36.
