PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suturing needle which can improve the piercing property by reducing the piercing resistance when piercing the biological tissue.SOLUTION: In this suturing needle, the blade section 5 of the needle tip section 3 of the needle main body 1 is formed to have a triangular or other polygonal cross section. The needle main body is formed by using a blast-processed needle material for which a fine uneven section 13 is applied by blasting on the outer peripheral surface of the needle material. The blade section 5 of the needle tip section has a cutting blade 6. The cutting blade is formed by polishing a ground cutting blade 60, which has been formed by grinding, by the jetting process of a polishing material 7 for which an abrasive grain 7b is blended and dispersed in a base material 7a consisting of an elastomer. By jetting the polishing material to the blade section, burrs or the like which are formed on the ground cutting blade are thoroughly removed, and at the same time, the blade section is polished, and sharpening is keenly performed, and the cutting blade with the cutting sharpness of which has been increased is formed.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】生体組織に刺入する際の刺通抵抗を減少させて刺通性を向上し得る縫合針を提供する。【解決手段】針本体1の針先部3の刃部5が三角形その他の多角形断面に形成された縫合針であって、針本体は、針材の外周面にブラスト加工により微小な凹凸部13を施したブラスト加工針材を用いて形成する。針先部の刃部5は切刃6を有し、この切刃は研削加工により形成された研削加工切刃60を、弾性体よりなる母材7aに砥粒7bを配合分散してなる研磨材7の噴射加工によって研磨加工して形成する。研磨材を刃部に噴射することにより、研削加工切刃に形成されているバリ等はきれいに除去されると共に研磨されて鋭利に刃立てされて切れ味を向上した切刃が形成される。【選択図】図1
