PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily apply jelly to a wave transmission/reception face of a probe, in time of ultrasonic diagnosis.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 10 includes a jelly discharge device 12. The jelly discharge device 12 has a tank 30 and a discharge tube 32. Jelly is stored inside the tank 30. The discharge tube 32 is formed of an elastically deformable material or the like. A discharge hole that is a tip of the discharge tube 32 in an original attitude thereof is positioned in a prescribed position. For example, the position is present in an upper part in the center of a probe holder unit 24L.
