PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel cyclooxygenase activity inhibitor derived from natural products, and having a high safety against a human body, and to provide a composition containing the inhibitor.SOLUTION: A cyclooxygenase activity inhibitor containing Angelica furcijuga extract as an active ingredient has an inhibitory action on cyclooxygenase types I and II, respectively. A composition containing the cyclooxygenase activity inhibitor can be applied to functional foods, cosmetic compositions, external preparations, pharmaceutical compositions, quasi drug compositions, and the like on the basis of the cyclooxygenase activity inhibition effect.
