In some embodiments, the present disclosure pertains to a composition including niacin up to about 1000 mg and berberine up to about 800 mg. In some embodiments, the niacin is in an amount of about 500 mg and the berberine is in an amount of about 100 mg. In some embodiments, the present disclosure pertains to a method that includes administering a composition to a subject in need thereof, where the composition includes niacin up to about 1000 mg and berberine up to about 800 mg.
