Equipment for sterilising air by UV light, which includes a cylindrical-shaped air duct coated with an ultra-reflecting material of from about 70% to about 100% of reflectivity, preferably using one with a reflectivity higher than 90%, since it increases the irradiation of UV light a dismountable support useful as a base in a plurality of UV light lamps, which is introduced into the duct, said support having free areas for increasing the flow of air and allowing the UV lamps to be arranged parallel the air stream in order to increase the contact time between the air and the UV light and optimising the location of the UV lights inside the duct so as to generate a higher dose (J/m2) of UV light.Equipo para la esterilización de aire por luz ultravioleta, el cual incluye un ducto cilíndrico de aire recubierto con un material ultra-reflejante de entre 70-100% de reflectividad, utilizando preferentemente uno mayor al 90% de reflectividad, el cual incrementa la irradiación de luz ultravioleta un soporte desmontable que sirve como base para una pluralidad de lámparas de luz ultravioleta, el cual se introduce en el ducto, dicho soporte cuenta con áreas libres para incrementar el flujo del aire y permite posicionar las lámparas ultravioleta de manera paralela con el flujo del aire incrementando así el tiempo de contacto del aire con la luz ultravioleta y optimizando la localización de las lámparas ultravioleta dentro del ducto para así generar una mayor dosis (J/m2) de luz UV.
