Offenbart wird ein mit Gleichstrom betriebenes chirurgisches Implantatschneideinstrument der Bipolarbauart mit einem am distalen Ende eines Instrumentenschafts befindlichen Instrumentenkopf für ein minimal invasives Einführen des Instruments in einen Patientenkörper, wobei am Instrumentenkopf zumindest zwei sich gegenüberliegende Instrumentenbranchen vorzugsweise der Linearbauart angeordnet sind, die zwischen sich einen Schneidspalt zur dazwischen Aufnahme eines elektrisch leitenden Implantats oder Implantatsabschnitts definieren.
