The purpose of the present invention is to provide a stereoscopic image generation system which generates a stereoscopic image from a body image of a subject imaged without using a position sensor and which can easily identify the subject and determine the size of the subject. The stereoscopic image generation system includes: a reception unit that receives image data of an image including a subject imaged by an imaging device； an image processing unit that displays an image based on the image data received by the reception unit on a display screen of a display device； an image conversion unit that converts the image data into stereoscopic display data for displaying, on the display screen, a stereoscopic image in which apparent depth can be identified, on the basis of the image date received by the reception unit； and a determination unit which performs at least one of identification of the subject and determination of the size of the subject on the basis of the stereoscopic display data.
