PURPOSE: A pulse power supplying apparatus for a discharging tube and a method for ionizing the discharging tube are provided to obtain plenty of ionized gases without the generation of toxic chemical byproducts or products. CONSTITUTION: An AC line input part applies AC power through an AC line. Pulse power source, which is composed of silicon controllable rectifiers(Q1, Q2), a current restricting resistance(R1), an inductor, a diode rectifier, and a capacitor, applies an exciting voltage to bipolar high voltage pulse in order to obtain the AC power and generate anions and cations. A discharging element implements an ionizing process using the bipolar high voltage pulse in order to generate ozone gas and gas ions. A discharging tube includes the AC line input, the pulse power source, and the discharging element.본 발명은 방전관을 위한 펄스 전원용 공급 장치로서, 전압이 일정한 시간 내에 방전관에서 방전이 일어나기 위한 피크까지 도달하는 것이 목적이며, 이로 인해 방전 시 생성되는 해로운 독성의 화학적 부산물 또는 반응물을 거의 생성하지 않으면서 대량의 이온화된 가스가 생성되도록 이온화 전극에 양극성 전압 펄스를 인가하는 전압 소스를 제공할 수 있다.
