PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method, for capturing jellyfish near a water intake of a power plant and discharging the same, which can: effectively capture the jellyfish near the water intake of the power plant at low cost； avoid a problem with foul odor generated when crashing the jellyfish； and reduce the cost for culturing fish in a preserve near the water intake of the power plant.SOLUTION: A system and a method, for collecting jellyfish near a water intake of a power plant and discharging the same, have a jellyfish capturing barge which: is arranged near the water intake of the power plant； captures the jellyfish near the water intake alive with a jellyfish pump； collects and stores the jellyfish inside thereof； can be transported to a remote culturing preserve with transport means such as a tag boat； and transfer and discharge the jellyfish stored inside thereof alive into the culturing preserve with the jellyfish pump.【目的】発電所の取水口近傍のクラゲを低コストで且つ効率的に捕獲することができ、クラゲを破砕した場合に生じる悪臭の問題を回避でき、発電所周辺の養殖用生け簀における養殖魚の飼育コストを低減させることができる発電所取水口近傍のクラゲの捕獲及び放出システム並びに方法を提供する。【構成】発電所の取水口近傍に配置され、前記取水口近傍のクラゲをクラゲポンプにより生きたまま捕獲して自らの内部に回収、収容し、タグボート等の移動手段により遠隔の養殖用生け簀に移動可能であり、且つ自らの内部に収容しているクラゲをクラゲポンプにより生きたまま養殖用生け簀内に移送、放出するクラゲ捕獲バージを備えた発電所取水口近傍のクラゲの捕獲及び放出システム及び方法である。【選択図】 図１
