The hereby disclosed systems, devices, and methods concern implantable orthopedic devices and in particular a rod holding device 1,1,1",1" for binding a rod 2 to an osseous structure. This rod holding device 1,1,1",1" comprises a holding body 3,3", an anchor member for anchoring the holding body 3,3" to the osseous structure, a closure member 4,4" for engagement with an engagement portion 7,7" of the holding body 3,3", and a sleeve member 9,9 with an opening 10,10 for receiving the rod 2 and configured to be locked in a receiving portion 8,8" of the holding body 3,3" by engagement of the closure member 4,4" with the engagement portion 7,7" of the holding body 3,3", and to secure the rod 2 within said opening 10,10. The rod holding device 1,1,1",1" can thus be adapted to rods 2 of various gauges by choosing a sleeve member 9,9 with an opening 10,10 of appropriate diameter.
