To provide a medical treatment device that makes it possible to insert the device into a thin organism lumen and effectively cut and remove an object.SOLUTION: A medical treatment device 10 for removing an object in an organism lumen includes: a drive shaft 20； a cutting part 40 fixed to a tip of the drive shaft 20； an outer pipe 30 that houses the drive shaft 20 so that the drive shaft is rotatable； and a handle part 60 disposed at base end parts of the drive shaft 20 and the outer pipe 30. On the handle part 60 is formed a suction port 94. The suction port 94 communicates with a suction lumen 31 between the outer pipe 30 and the drive shaft 20. The drive shaft 20 includes at least one first wire 21A spirally wound around a shaft center X of the drive shaft 20. A wound direction of a spiral wound toward a base end of the first wire 21A is inverse to a rotation direction R of the drive shaft 20.
