PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization method and a sterilization apparatus capable of carrying out sufficient sterilization while preventing degradation of perfume in sterilization treatment of the perfume itself or food and drink containing the perfume.SOLUTION: A sterilization method is characterized in that a solution to be treated containing perfume is irradiated with ultraviolet rays having main emission of a wave length of 280 nm-310 nm.
