PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent delivery system with which a stent is pushed in by a pusher catheter and then released from the pusher catheter.SOLUTION: A stent delivery system 1 comprises: a guide catheter 10 insertable into a channel 117 of an endoscope 100 a stent 20 formed in a tubular shape and having the guide catheter insertable thereinto and a pusher catheter 30 formed in a tubular shape, having the guide catheter insertable thereinto, and arranged more distally (hand side) than the stent. The pusher catheter includes: a diameter-increase suppressing part 31 disposed at a distal end and having substantially the same inner diameter as the stent and an intermediate part 32 disposed on a proximal end side of the diameter-increase suppressing part and having a smaller flexural rigidity than the diameter-increase suppressing part. Increase of the inner diameter of the pusher catheter is suppressed, when the stent is pressed distally by pushing the intermediate section of the pusher catheter to the distal end side and bringing the distal end of the diameter-increase suppressing section into contact with the proximal end (hand-side end) of the stent.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
