PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sperm egg inspection method that realizes high-speed and high-accuracy detection of a defectively-developed egg unsuitable for a raw material of influenza vaccine, etc.SOLUTION: A sperm egg inspection method relating to the invention includes: a transmitted light intensity measuring step of emitting LED light to a sperm egg and then measuring light intensity of transmitted light from the sperm egg and a determination step of determining whether the sperm egg is a defectively-developed egg or a normal egg on the basis of a determination criterion using a transmitted light intensity measurement value measured in the transmitted light intensity measuring step. The determination criterion is set on the basis of: the transmitted light intensity measurement values obtained from multiple defectively-developed eggs and the transmitted light intensity measurement values obtained from multiple normal eggs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
