PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material effectively inhibiting the production of endothelin-1 discharged from epidermal keratinocytes.SOLUTION: We found out that tacalcitol which is one of the active VD3 has an action which effectively inhibits the production of endothelin-1 of epidermal keratinocytes. The endothelin-1 production inhibitor of the epidermal keratinocytes according to the invention is useful as pharmaceuticals, quasi drugs, or whitening cosmetics, and is also useful as a reagent for the object of research and development, such as elucidation of the mechanism of action in pigmentation, such as dermal stains, freckles, and the like.SELECTED DRAWING: NoneCOPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】 本発明の課題は、表皮角化細胞から発せられるエンドセリン-1の産生を効果的に抑制する素材を提供することである。【解決手段】 活性型VD3の一つであるタカルシトールに表皮角化細胞のエンドセリン-1の産生を効果的に抑制する作用を有することを見出した。本発明の表皮角化細胞のエンドセリン-1産生抑制剤は、医薬品、医薬部外品又は美白化粧料として有用である。また、皮膚のシミやそばかす等の色素沈着における作用機序を解明するなどの研究開発目的のための試薬としても有用である。【選択図】なし
