The present invention is to provide a composition for preventing, alleviating or treating hearing impairment comprising an extract of Candida utilis. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the composition effectively inhibits an increase in a hearing threshold and damage of hair cells caused by noise and hearing impairment such as aging or the like, and thus can inhibit hearing impairment, thereby preventing or treating hearing impairment. Also, the composition can be administered in an easy manner and administration compliance of a patient can be increased, thereby being used as a pharmaceutical composition for oral administration or a health functional food.본 발명은 칸디다 유틸리스 추출물을 포함하는 난청의 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물을 제공한다. 본 발명에 따른 조성물은 소음 및 노화 등의 난청으로 인한 청력 역치의 상승과 유모세포 손상을 효과적으로 억제시킴으로써 난청을 억제할 수 있어 난청의 예방 또는 치료에 유용하며, 또한 경구투여가 용이하여 환자의 복약 순응도를 높일 수 있어 경구 투여용 약학 조성물 또는 건강기능식품으로써 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
