The present invention concerns novel antibiotic compounds, which are lantibiotics, the processes for their preparation, their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, pharmaceutical compositions containing the lantibiotics, and their use as antibacterial agents. Compounds designated as lantibiotics, such as those of the present invention, are peptides belonging to the general class of antibiotic compounds, and are further generally characterized by the presence of the amino acids lanthionine and/or 3-methyllanthionine. The novel lantibiotic compounds are active against bacterial infections caused by Clostridium difficile, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp, Enterococcus spp., and other bacteria.La présente invention concerne de nouveaux composés antibiotiques, qui sont des lantibiotiques, les procédés pour leur préparation, leurs sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables, des compositions pharmaceutiques contenant les lantibiotiques, et leur utilisation en tant quagents antibactériens. Les composés appelés lantibiotiques, tels que ceux de la présente invention, sont des peptides appartenant à la classe générale des composés antibiotiques, et sont en outre généralement caractérisés par la présence des acides aminés lanthionine et/ou 3-méthyl-lanthionine.
