A method of obtaining a composition for a metered-dose inhaler, comprising the steps of: a) mixing alcohol with a surfactant to form a first mixture, the alcohol content being from 0.05% to 10.0% (w / w) of the total the mass of the first mixture； b) adding a beta-2 agonist to the first mixture and dispersing the beta-2 agonist in the first mixture to obtain a second mixture； c) adding a hydrofluoroalkane (HFA) propellant to the second mixture to obtain a third mixture； d) adding a corticosteroid to the third mixture and dispersion of the corticosteroid in tert s mixture； e) filling the third mixture under pressure into a container. 2. A method according to claim 1, wherein said corticosteroid comprises a corticosteroid selected from the group consisting of budesonide, fluticasone, beclomethasone, cyclesonide, fluticasone propionate, beclomethasone dipropionate, and combinations thereof. A method according to claim 1, characterized in that said beta-2 agonist comprises an agonist selected from the group consisting of albuterol, carterol, formoterol, albuterol sulfate, proterol hydrochloride, formoterol fumarate, and combinations thereof. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the alcohol content is from 0.25% to 2.0% (wt./wt.%). The method of claim 1, wherein said surfactant comprises polyethylene glycol (PEG) having a molecular weight of from 100 to 6000.6.
