PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition containing an ascorbic acid derivative as a bleaching component, to provide a method for stabilizing the composition, to obtain a composition for a medicine, a quasi-medicine or a cosmetic having excellent stability, bleaching effect and sense of use.
SOLUTION: The composition is obtained by mixing an ascorbic acid derivative with tetrasodium edetate and adjusting the mixture to pH 6.5-7.0.
