PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply just a proper amount of proper pressure to pickles using a pickle manufacturing device designed to manufacture pickles using the driving force of a motor or the like so that even physically weak women can easily and safely make pickles.SOLUTION: A pickle manufacturing device includes a load cell sensor 10 for detecting the magnitude of load applied to pickles by a load imparting unit (ball screw nut 6, movable arm locking plate 7, movable arm 8, retaining lid 9) based on the drive of a motor 4, and a controller 5 which stops the drive of the motor 4 when the magnitude of the load becomes a first set load and which re-drives the motor 4 when the magnitude of the load becomes smaller than the first set load.
