PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable ridge forming work using a walking-type tending machine, which work is efficiently performable without requiring labor of changing machine parts.SOLUTION: The tending machine with an operating handle extending rearward is provided with a plowing rotor on a travelling body and a bar 13 downwardly installed on a rear part of the travelling body for controlling forward resistance to the machine body. A supporting frame 21 having an upper part with broad width and a lower part with narrow width is installed on the bar 13 so that the frame locates on the front side of the bar 13 and the rear side of the plowing rotor.
