The present invention relates to a device for dialysis of small sample volumes in the range of microliters. The device consists of a rectangular hollow chamber, open at both ends and also having openings along the side walls. A dialysis membrane is fitted across the openings in the sidewalls and at the bottom. The upper open end of the hollow chamber has a flange over which another hollow chamber, open at one end and closed at the other can be fitted. For dialysis, the device is fitted into a non-floating support plate, which is placed over the rim of a beaker containing suitable solution for dialysis of sample. After dialysis, the purified sample is collected simply by inverting the device, so that the sample drains from the membrane fitted lower chamber into the upper chamber, thus permitting collection of multiple samples at one go.
