PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify preparing operation of a root vegetable K after harvest, in a root vegetable harvester constituted so as to pull the root vegetable K from a field 19 on one side of left and right of a traveling machine body 1, convey the root vegetable K to the rear of the machine body, drop a root part K2 after cutting a leaf part of the root vegetable K onto a feed conveyer A2 and convey the root part K2 to a selection conveyer A4 arranged on the side of the feed conveyer A2 by a cross feed roller A3 obliquely arranged on the feed conveyer A2.SOLUTION: Pressing members 70 and 70A for elastically pressing the conveying surface of the feed conveyer A2 to the transverse feed roller A3 are installed and when the root part K2 is transversely fed, the leaf part K1a left between the feed conveyer A2 and the transverse roller A3 is raked and torn off.COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO【課題】 走行機体1の左右一側で根菜Kを圃場19から引抜き、機体後方へ搬送して根菜Kの葉部切断後の根部K2を供給コンベアA2上に落とし、該供給コンベアA2上に斜めに配置した横送りローラーA3により、供給コンベアA2側方に配置した選別コンベアA4へ搬送するようにした根菜収穫機において、収穫後の根菜Kの調製作業の簡略化を図る。【解決手段】 前記供給コンベアA2の搬送面を前記横送りローラーA3に弾力的に押当てる押圧部材70,70Aを設け、根部K2が横送りされるときに供給コンベアA2と横送りローラーA3との間に切残した葉部K1aを掻込んで引きちぎる。
