PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external composition that inhibits the coloration with time of a preparation comprising an organic salt of diclofenac, which is a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agent, and a carboxyvinyl polymer.SOLUTION: It is learned that a preparation is colored with time in an external composition comprising an organic salt of diclofenac and a carboxyvinyl polymer, and it is found with respect to the issue that the coloration is inhibited by adding menthol.
