To provide an antitumor agent, which has a potent propagation suppressing effect on various cancers and sarcomas, as well as particularly human breast cancer, such as triple negative breast cancer that is negative for estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), and which has an excellent therapeutic effect, provides good prognosis and may be used as a safe therapeutic agent.SOLUTION: The antitumor agent contains abietane diterpenes having an abietane skeleton. In the antitumor agent, the abietane diterpenes are parviflorone A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, or a derivative thereof.
