A novel antimicrobial peptide is provided having an inhibitory effect on biofilms produced by biofilm-forming bacteria. The peptide is effective against wide range bacterial targets； generates no antimicrobial resistance； agglutinates bacteria cells enhancing the pathogen removal at the infectious focus； promotes biofilm eradication and prevents biofilm development. Compositions comprising the peptide are provided to treat and prevent infectious diseases, and for other uses such as the disinfection of medical and surgical materials.La présente invention concerne un nouveau peptide antimicrobien ayant un effet inhibiteur sur des biofilms produits par des bactéries génératrices de biofilm. Le peptide est efficace contre une large gamme de cibles bactériennes ； il ne génère pas de résistance antimicrobienne ； il agglutine les cellules des bactéries, améliorant ainsi l'élimination d'agents pathogènes au niveau du foyer infectieux ； il favorise l'éradication des biofilms et empêche leur développement. L'invention concerne également des compositions comprenant le peptide pour le traitement et la prévention de maladies infectieuses, et pour d'autres utilisations telles que la désinfection de matériaux médicaux et chirurgicaux.
