The present invention relates to a composition comprising an extract of Pinus koraiensis for preventing or treating colitis. The present invention comprises an essential oil extract of Pinus koraiensis which is formulated from an extract of Pinus koraiensis to be more stable and have higher absorption, and the essential oil extract of Pinus koraiensis shows significant preventative or therapeutic effects for colitis, including restoring the shortened length of large intestines caused by colitis, restoring shrunk tissues, and the like. In particular, the formulated essential oil extract of Pinus koraiensis, compared to unformulated extracts of Pinus koraiensis, has improved volatility and resistance to external environments such as light and oxygen, and thus therapeutic agents for colitis comprising such extracts show significant preventative or therapeutic effects compared to conventional therapeutic agents for colitis. Accordingly, the extract of Pinus koraiensis according to the present invention may be beneficially used as pharmaceutical compositions and food compositions for preventative, alleviative or therapeutic effects for colitis-related diseases.본 발명은 잣나무 추출물을 포함하는 대장염 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 잣나무 추출물을 제형화시켜 보다 안정적이고 흡수력이 높은 잣나무 정유 추출물을 구성으로 하고 있으며, 이에 의하여 대장염에 의해 짧아진 대장의 길이가 다시 길어지고, 수축된 조직이 다시 회복되는 등 잣나무 정유 추출물은 현저한 대장염 예방 또는 치료 효과를 나타낸다. 특히 상기 제형화된 잣나무 정유 추출물은 제형화 되지 않은 잣나무 추출물에 비해 휘발성 및 빛, 산소와 같은 외부환경으로부터의 취약성이 향상되므로, 이를 포함한 대장염 치료제는 종래의 대장염 치료제에 비해 보다 현저한 예방 또는 치료 효과를 나타낸다. 따라서 본 발명에 따른 잣나무 추출물을 대장염과 관련된 질병의 예방, 개선 또는 치료 효과를 위한 약학적 조성물 및 식품 조성물로 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.
