The present invention relates to a controlled-release formulation comprising cilostazol and a method for preparing said formulation. The inventive controlled-release formulation comprising cilostazol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a solubilizing agent, a swelling agent, a swell-controlling agent and a gas generating material has advantages in that it maintains a constant cilostazol level in the blood through a slow release while it resides in the stomach and intestines over a long period of time, thereby increasing the absorption of cilostazol in the small intestine, the major absorption site of cilostazol, as well as minimizing adverse effects caused by rapid release and making it easy for a patient to take the drug.본 발명은 실로스타졸(cilostazol)을 포함하는 제어방출 제제 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따라 실로스타졸 또는 이의 약제학적으로 허용가능한 염, 가용화제, 팽윤제, 팽윤속도조절제 및 기체발생물질을 포함하는 실로스타졸 제어방출 제제는, 위장에서 장시간 체류하면서 약물을 일정수준으로 서서히 방출시키므로 실로스타졸의 주요 흡수부위인 소장에서의 흡수율을 높이는 동시에, 약물의 속방성 방출로 인한 두통 등의 부작용을 줄이고 약물의 혈중 농도를 유지함으로써 복용 횟수를 감소시켜 환자의 복용 순응도를 향상시키는 등의 장점이 있다.
