PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively uniform photographing conditions for each authentication in which identification cannot be guaranteed, in an operation system with no burden on a user.SOLUTION: The authentication device includes a guide means such as a pattern, a design and the like which remind a user of a part where a finger should be placed or of a part that should be placed close in the guide means, a contact means such as a button switch and the like is provided on a portion to place a fingertip, and an optical opening portion is provided on a portion to place an imaged part for authentication a light source for directing near infrared light to the imaged part is provided and an imaging means for photographing an image formed by the near infrared light transmitted through the imaged part via the opening portion is provided.
