PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an eddy magnetic field, which is generated along with generation of a gradient magnetic field, by a simpler configuration.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus relating to the present embodiment includes imaging means and a shield. The imaging means performs magnetic resonance imaging of a subject by transmitting a high-frequency signal from a high-frequency coil in the state of forming each magnetic field by a gradient magnetic field coil and a superconducting magnet.
