The subintimal resuscitation catheter includes an elongate shaft including a first tubular member and a penetrating member slidably positioned within the lumen of the first tubular member. The penetrating member includes a distal end located on the proximal end side of the nose portion on the distal end side of the first tubular member. The nose on the distal side of the first tubular member includes a ramp and a guidewire lumen that extends through the nose on the distal side of the first tubular member.
